Which games are best for meeting new people/making friends? I don't have friends, I live in the middle of nowhere and I have anxiety so online gaming seems like an ok temporary option. I'm guessing FFXIV and WoW are the only worthwhile ones?
MMOs are your best bet but most aren't social anymore

Anything with drop in/drop out I know in most instances it's pretty bad but the few times can be worth it
obscure source games barley hanging on; sven co-op, neotokyo, E.Y.E. Divine Cybermance, HL2 Deathmatch, etc
then speak whatever comes to your mind

Anyone who would want to actually be friends with you isn't worth having as a friend.

DotA2. You might think I'm joking, but this any many other high stakes games are great for deciding the worth of people.
If they stay positive and continue to treat their teammates well even while they're losing, they're good people to hang around. Naturally, if they break down and start blaming others for failure, you can pretty much be assured you don't want to hang around them. It's the best personality test you can ask for.

Isn't the playerbase pretty young? I want to talk to people of a similar age (20-25), preferably not kids.
