Satomi Tadashi wrote himself into Persona 2 Innocent Sin and had his character romantically involved with the female protagonist from SMT If. In Eternal Punishment he's completely absent and there's a line of dialogue that states a group of assassins are trying to kill him (jokingly referring to the fans who were upset). Probably had nothing to do with the change in writer/character design for P3.

Also the character he fell in love with was based on a popular idol, so that didn't help.

His self insert appeared in a relationship with SMT IF's main character (who was based on some model he had a crush on) in Persona 1 and 2, fans got mad, and he got kicked out. I wish I had physical copies of the series. Almost every issue had at least one story I really liked (even though I hated most of them because they were too predictable or flat).

Twisted Tales and other work by Bruce Jones is a really great ancestor to Flinch, and serves as the middle bridge between Flinch and the Tales from the Crypt comics that used to be so popular back in the 60s. Not a coincidence that Bruce Jones also wrote several stories for Flinch as well. I'm nerding out a little over these comics because I just have such fond memories of them.

I want to add as well that there's been a lot of episodes early in the show that feature Justice League Dark characters and Batman is just the best one out of the Trinity to work with that class of darker supernatural hero.

TTGo is a success is because none of the shows on the network right now can really connect with kids. Gumball is up its ass with references that kids wouldn't get, Regular Show never felt like a show targeting kids in the first place, Adventure Time tackles issues that kids wouldn't give a fuck about and probably goes over their heads half the time, Steven Universe just isn't all that funny, and PPG is so poorly made that even kids can see right through it.
While it suffers from poor writing, a team that clearly doesn't want to be working on it, and a vocal hatebase, TTGO does well because it's the only true comedy show on the network, and the only show that's actually trying to be a show that can entertain kids.

The main problem is that CN is failing to do two things
1. Hire established and high quality animators + writers for IPs that currently exist such as DC (if they really wanted to, they could probably start up a superman series that is on the level of BM:TAS, 90s Spiderman TAS, Teen Titans, and Spectacular Spiderman). The problem is that such a thing costs money, and CN wants low risk high reward not medium risk super high reward.

To this day I wonder if Disney regrets canceling Spectacular Spiderman in favor of Ultimate Spiderman, knowing that Spectular had fantastic ratings with top reviews and Ultimate got trash binned after a couple seasons

There were larger forces at work. The licenses were coming up and Sony could either keep the movie or the show rights. Obviously, they kept the movie ones. Since they had the rights to the show itself until then, and they weren't really keen on playing ball back then, Disney had to go and make their own show and couldn't continue doing Spectacular.

Of course, the Amazing Spider-Man movies went to shit, the emails leaked, and Sony had to come crawling back to Marvel. So no one really won in the end. Except Feige, I guess.
