It was a kart racing game with planes. It had a dog fight mode and other stuff, all the characters had a story mode with a lot of cutscenes.

Is this obscure in some way?
Never heard it mentioned and only bought it on a whim back in the day.
Also my data got corrupted so I never finished it. Still own the game but don't have a PS2 to play it.

Good game, emulates smooth as butter, too. Got quite a bit of the way through it but then got immensely bored during a Sphinx dungeon for whatever reason. Then my hard drive died, so I'll likely never finish it.
