Good turn based games, unlike your pic (or pretty much ANY japanese TBG), have a high/ very high/ extremely high complexity AND depth (JRPGs usually have FAR too much complexity but no depth at all, in other words, you have a shit ton of weapons spells, and other shit, but VERY few are optimal), in other words you have too much meaningful decisions to make for real time because human limitations, but, of course, making meaningful choices is fun, so turns allow you to enjoy this bigger complexity.

Now go play open XCOM.

I've downloaded final fantasy(first one) today to see how a turn based game is like and every fucking time i take a step i have to fight a group of enemies which are very easy to kill but very time consuming due to play style. how do you play this shit?

It's like strategy games, but in a much smaller scale. It's also why I love XCOM.
