Unless 'best' in your vocabulary means 'most efficient', none of these crutches are necessarily better than actual good writing. Music might be an exception since it is a language in and of itself.

I mean, Atlus was talking about for a long time how they wanted to make a portable Disgaea 5 but the Vita was too weak to handle it, and then look how quickly they jumped on the Switch.
