Gantz won't work without copious amounts of T&A which faggot game companies won't put in them to save their lives. Also people get dismembered a whole fucking lot as well and it's probably kind of hard to program movement/combat without your fucking arms/legs while making it fun.

It's an easy read that ends shit but is entertaining in a stupid way.

Making it would be the easiest thing in the in the world, because it lends itself well for TPS combat and a Koei Tecmo level structure.
You could have it based on the main plot, or you could have some team of new characters.
It could also work as a XCOM clone.
It could be good, but if its ever made it will most likely be bland.

Everyone competes for points, but you don't respawn if you die. If you die, the character is gone unless someone feels like paying to revive your ass. (Or you make a new character and try to use them to earn the points for your dead OP character)

So like hardcore mode Diablo 2/3, but with some small chance of revival.
