One of the best things about Disgaea is that it gives far more opportunities for players to setup perfect combos than most strategy JRPGs.

You can attack in individual sequences or just end your turn, and have your entire team attack in a set order.

Disgaea DS had multiplayer, it had a Fog of War, orbs which causes status affects when thrown, and you could summon Adell and have him smack the shit out of the other player.
I've personally never seen an actual Disgaea DS PvP match though, I'd be amazed if even one round has ever taken place.
