i don't get the point of these games. They last for like 2000 turns even if you play on the smallest map and go full aggressive war. You can't even play it multiplayer because they can never hold a player base after the first week of release and if you do manage to get some friends together people leave before a game can complete. Even then a new game in this genre gets released with minimal innovation or improvement but they release at full price with all of the negatives already listed.

This genre is the air in bags of chips of gaming.

Just look up a playthrough or something, if you activate score victory the game is automatically done at turn 200.

The game is great, my biggest concern right now is the difficulty. Make enemies way, way more aggressive for starters.

I liked Sins of a Solar Empire (but was never good at it) but did not like Europa Universalis or Crusader Kings (and was never good at them)

Will I enjoy this?

I played Stellaris once or twice, was interesting but got bored fast (at launch)

Currently converting the galaxy to the Endless way. Already destroyed sophons and keeping the rest of their planets as essence generators. Lumeris have only one planet left. Capital of the empire has fallen, and horatio is my bitch. Riftborn should be easy, the Cravers will be tough tho

Is there a way to raze an enemy colony without taking it over? I am already at the limit of what I can sustain popularity wise, but I still want to mess with my opponent. Can I exterminatus them or something?

Just set up a blockade around it, it's food income will go into negative and it will die after some time. The amount of time needed obviously depends on the size of your fleet.

I've personally found every faction fun to play besides Horatio. He lacks a specific niche besides colonizing the fuck out of everything but other races can do that better.

i won't be playing more until they fix the turn/fight bug. at a certain point you press fight and it just starts pending indefinitely. same with the end turn. reloading does nothing. i was getting into the game because i'm playing as cravers trying to claim supremacy victory and the lumeris are very close to winning so i need to swoop across the map and blow them the fuck out.
