I just wish you were guaranteed at least 1 new thing in each box. 4 duplicates is trash. A year of playing and I probably have 25% of the stuff you can get in this game. Can't get any new skins so I have to plunk down the duplicate coins I've earned over the months on them during the seasonal events.

Overwatch is something I do often less than an hour a day on average. Sometimes two on weekends. I am a casual shit who plays only quick play, my credit influx is so bad that these event skins are usually out of my reach. Last time I achieved around 1500 points there was no specific event in sight and bought a regular legendary skin. Now I'm hovering in 300-500 during this event and unless I get lucky with a loot box again I'll miss unique rewards.

I guess I'll just have to get to 3000 credits and dont spend anything before an event comes and I'm sure I want some rare skin.

I really just hate how every fucking thing is tied to an event now, and that's obviously how they're going to keep doing it because it's what makes them the most money. If they just released shit forever and you could grind at your leisure it wouldn't be so bad, but with the current "TIMED RELEASE LOL" they're almost forcing people to buy lootboxes if they want certain cosmetics, and it's such a shitty transparent cashgrab it makes me think less of the game and the devs.

And almost every game with any sort of lootbox system is doing the exact same shit and it's driving me fucking crazy.

I said compared to prior events. Yes, it could be a fluke, but on average I should be getting the same general luck every year since lootbox droprates are not random. They were forced to release the droprates in China. I can't be arsed to find the specific percentages right now, but drops are not random. Granted the released drop rates were for standard lootboxes in China, but this tells us that drop rates are percent based, not random.

Spergs have deduced that if you somehow manage to open 39 hearthstone packs without getting a legendary, your chances of getting a legendary on your next pack have reached 100% and will always get one. Obviously due to chance you could get some earlier, but never more than that.
This was a thing with personalized boss loot on WoW.
Same goes with Heroes and Overwatch loot.

The only exception is Diablo 3, whereas you get multiple legendary or set pieces just scraping your fucking shoes.
