It's acceptable to like Halo 1, because it's a good game, and on PC. Halo 2 somewhat, but most people who praise Halo 2 are Xbox Live wannabe MLG kiddies from 10 years ago, who also played Halo 3.

Anything after that is pretty much unacceptable until Master Chief Collection hits PC, in which it'll be ok to like Halo 3 and ODST (But still not 4. Taking the worst of Halo and Call of Duty and putting it in a single game will never be good).

No, it really did not. Talking about the series was pretty much a taboo around here since 2007. We had occasional rare isolated circlejerk threads that we ignored because they were like a containment or carnival, but that is it.

Halo series is shit, and always has been shit. Some of the most cancerous shit ever to emerge in gaming industry in fact. People around here were well aware of it very much since Halo 2 came out.

Things are changing: the Halo generation, the by-far-worst generation of the entire history of gaming, the fucktards that made multiplayer synonymous with insufferable cunts, the people who made Halo and CoD so popular that they nearly erased all other genres and types of games from existence, the people that allowed the worst console generation in existence not only live, but live for nine fucking years - the people that demanded dumbing or extremination of everything that was not painfully retarded: that generation is NOW becoming the majority of /v/, strong enough to push their shitty views and terrible taste. And that is why we can have people praising the pile of utter garbage.

I'd say 5 is a consistent pile of mediocrity, same with 4, though 4 has a slightly better average, wheras CE has decent peaks but it's great and good moments are outweighed by it's tedious and repetittive ones.
