Its a problem because I enjoy a feeling of progression when playing an RPG. I want to eventually hit the point of being godly where nothing can stop me. The whole point of leveling up is to get stronger. Also there shouldn't be bandits arounds every fucking corner with Daedric weapons/armor. Morrowind did it right.

Leveling up is about gaining new skills, not dealing 10% more damage etc. You should be able to defeat your enemies more easily because you have more powerful abilities. Them scaling allows them to keep giving you a challenge.

Level scaling is the best way to do RPGs, it just takes skill to implement correctly.

In defence of the blue shell. The blue shell is not really broken. I know you all hate it because it takes to skill to execute and is situational to dodge but the item serves a purpose and that purpose does have a use. When a blue shell comes you can either slow down to try to catch the people behind you, either to take its target or to catch them in your explosion. Your other option is simply try to stay fast and stop in front of a booster or something if you have the chance. The first option is available if you don't have much of a lead and forces the pack to squish up more, making the game closer and more chaotic. That's a good thing, not a bad thing. The other option is what you are forced to do if you have too much of a lead, so being hit by the blue shell probably won't end up putting you any further back than 2nd at worst (from blue alone). I think the item has problems, I won't deny that. It really shouldn't appear on the final lap, but aside from that it does serve a purpose that benefits the overall game. It's not broken just because you feel bitter.

You can also dodge it with a well timed boost but that is not common enough to weight it.

It's not feasible to just avoid the middle of the track all the time. It's where coins tend to be and, depending on the circumstance, you may not have enough time to get out of the way depending on where you are in a course. Also, if you lay down a blue shell right behind somebody it doesn't matter if they're in the middle of the road or not. They're getting hit.

Let's say you're at a party and one guy is way better than everyone else, coming out way ahead in the very first map.

Yeah, the level scaling in this game is hilariously off. But I take it as a curiousity, a quirk rather than anything. The game tried to break a lot of new grounds and was really experimental and I kinda like it. Even if a lot of ends up being hilariously bad.
