Who's the better controller and why?

I liked the d-pad on the white one, so I'll pick that.

Here is my setup back in 2004 when I was 15 on OG Xbox, cousin lived with me so we lanned and played every night till 2am. Will never forget those times, had a blast.

The Xbone d-pad is garbage though. Playing fightans with it is painful. Even basic fireball motions don't come out 20% of the time.

Being able to press the d-pad in 8-way movement is very nice, especially compared to nearly every other d-pad which wears your thumbs down if you try rolling around in a circle with it.

Picked up one of these. Really like the build quality, weight, and customization it allows (if you like to tweak settings and controls, this is the controller for you). Only issue, right touchpad takes a LONG time to get used to.

my 360 controller's analog sticks are worn down to the plastic so I want to replace it with an XBone controller. How do I know I'm getting the lastest model?

Is there such a thing as an official wired xbone controller? I've never seen one besided 3rd party knockoffs.

I've had to buy three Xbone controllers so far, each one has had some form of failure after 4-5 months

Both friends that also have the system also have had to buy multiple controllers

Still have a 2006 360 controller that works perfectly fine

Current controller issues, 2 weeks
B button periodicly sticks under the surrounding plastic
RB squeaks periodicly is stiff and doesn't click when pressed
And like ALL of them I've tried, applying the grip of a half hearted handshake to the left side results in the plastic shifting in your hand In a worrying way like any amount of pressure surpassing the limits of wet toilet tissue will snap something

I could give a rats ass about the changes to the D-pad the 360 was just plain superior

I've had the same 2 Bone controllers for 3 years now with no issues except for the rubber wearing down on one of the sticks. All of my 360 controllers have had issues with the sticks becoming loose.

Xbone is comfier and has a more proper d-pad.
