It's similar to DS1, but they did it backwards. Being in the lobby was tense, but then you are chased into an elevator by a necromorph. It's the same formula.

Halo 2 had utterly garbage weapon balance, shitty aesthetics, was the glitchiest and lacked atmosphere. Only way it was better than CE was the mutliplayer and that you could hijack vehicles. The part I liked most was when flood spores started pouring out of the vents and the lights began to flicker/go out on High Charity.

CE is probably the best in terms of singleplayer, but its far and away the worst multiplayer in the series besides 4. There are a lot of great maps, but every map in 2 and 3 is a great map. The weapon balance in CE is pretty shit too, as the pistol is more powerful than most power weapons. CE also has no playable elites and no customization (besides armor color). The MP is still pretty comfy and fun, but its nowhere even close to 2 and 3's MP.
