It's not much what they ended up being but what they were before they got an official announcement that matters here. 3 of the 4 "biggest games that probably won't ever be" of video games got revealed in less than a single hour.
Everytime they announced one of these games everyone else was jokingly saying "Ahah, what now? They'll announce X next?" and then X was indeed the next revealed thing, it was insane.

Personally for me it was FFXIV, I played the beta and ended up not liking it in the long run but damn the reaction to that trailer..

Me and one friend were very happy when "online" popped up next to the logo while everyone else in the room suddenly got very pissed off.

It was just a great moment of personal elation coupled with the anger of so many other people for getting trolled by SE.
