PS4 doesn't move software. It only has a handful of million sellers. Very few games have sold above 2 million and the only game to sell more than 2 million is Uncharted 4.

Not discounting the system, I love mine. But being PS4 only isn't going to help you this gen. BotW and Mario Kart have already outsold every PS4 game except Uncharted. Why do you think so many games have gone PS4/PC, or PS4/Bone, or PS4/Switch, or PS4 Vita? Companies need to maximize sales and that isn't happening if you go PS4 exclusive.

It shows. The 3DS version looks worse than the DQ VII remake, I'm sad to say. Too bad because I enjoy these games on 3DS. The use of the second screen is neat though. If I have the option, I'll get it on PS4 first and on 3DS later for a second playthrough.

No such thing. Squeenix is a profit oriented business company whose sole purpose is to print shekels. They are not fucking Santa Clause who make games out of altruism, anything else is bullshit talk.
They just figured they could bank on 60+ million potential 3DS owners.

I'm actually surprised Squeenix made a DX game with sophisticated graphics for the PS4 in the first place.
Making games for 3DS is piss easy and costs almost nothing, while raking in massive profits.
I can also already see a Switch port of 3DS version, like with Monster Hunter.

source? It seems like that's just how it works. In combat it will probably show the usual battle info/bars, and in free roam it will show the environment in 2D. Maybe it will even show the battles in 2D. They've marketed it as the way the game works, why do you think its only during introduction? That sounds weird.

The popular opinion at 2ch is that they started development for PS4 but decided to make a 3DS version after it became clear that the PS4 wouldn't sell much in Japan.
