Yeah, no. As a Nintendo fan, this game is not the next Splatoon. It's fun, but it's not Splatoon level fun. It will get around 75-80 and will probably barely reach 1 million in sales.

However, if they an fine-tune the controls with this game, I can predict it will be a springboard for more similar games like this.

Nope, "many" people are not liking it over the internet. Not saying it's a majority or representative of anything, but they exist. You know, even Nintendo fans (like myself) can have an opinion.
To be honest, I am not completely convinced by ARMS. Not saying it will be a bad game, after all I could only try the game for less than an hour. But so far, I don't like it that much.

This is basically my opinion on it. I was starting to get good at it towards the end of the hour, but I feel like it lacks that tightness and immediacy that Splatoon had.

I also fear that new players are going to get shitstomped by people with a longer play time, since you can actually upgrade arms into doing more damage, as opposed to Splatoon where the very first gun you get remains competitive all the way through.
