Why the video game is more popular than the movie itself?

Because other than turak it was literally the best shooter for n64.

Also it was kinda the first multiplayer shooter that went mainstream.

It was a solid shooter at the time for the N64 and the singleplayer was good by its own merits too.

The movie was also pretty good, though too bad it was Brosnan's only good Bond movie.
