They break hard surfaces such as glass, crystals, hard shells & etc. They also can't be crushed & just get stuck in the ground for a little bit when it happens due to their hard body. The backside to them is they can't latch on & continue to attack enemies when thrown and can only repeatedly charge towards them to attack.

Pikmin is a pretty consistently good series & I would recommend a play. It's all about trying to collect X things to help the Captain(s) for whatever their goal is (it depends on the game). Each Pikmin have their own strengths and weaknesses which can help collect things & attack enemies. It's bit addicting to keep replaying it to get better & faster since it's all about good management with your Pikmin making sure they don't die from enemies & trying to beat the game as fast as you can.

The game has a great OST & calming atmosphere but it can get very stressful if you don't know what your doing & your Pikmin start to die or you run out of time (which is a bit hard to do in my opinion, you'll most likely never run out of time).

Pikmin 1 & 3 have a bigger focus on getting everything you can in a certain amount of time while Pikmin 2 has a bigger emphasis on collecting stuff with unlimited time but you have a lot to do and a lot more hazards & enemies to avoid. Personally I prefer 2 but 1+3 but they're all pretty fun.

Thanks anon, I've played Pikmin 2, but never ended up finishing it. I think that was back when I still had GameCube. Sadly I've moved on to PC and Pikmin isn't on Steam.

This anon gets it. Pick man 3 was terrible. The motion controls absolutely ruined it. Previously, when throwing a Pick man to a target suspended in the air, you had to use some skill based on the arc of the throw to get an idea of it would hit that target. In Shit Man 3, the cursor literally gives you 100% accuracy, making it impossible for you to lose any encounter. Don't get me wrong, it's not like the game was difficult, but it was fun at least knowing you could fuck up a throw, and cause 15 Pick Men to get squashed

I dont remember any lore stating specifically but I always assumed rockmin were a result of a kind of pikmin moss that pulled rocks out of the ground to attach to and bulbmin were a parastitic fungus. What was the deal with these?
