KOREA TIME RIGHT NOW BOYS, NORMAL OP IS A POORFAG AND DOESN'T HAVE A PASS

Holy shit that was hype.

Fuckign hell shine, what a man
I hope we get Shine vs Flash
So what the hell happened with Bisu in the last game? I stepped away for like a minute after his harass to take care of the chicken and then he compltely drops the ball

Fucking hell, they get rid of the captchacaust as soon as the games end.
Holy fuck, I would never expected Shine to wine vs. Bisu. At this point he's the guy in every match that people keep saying "He's been lucky and cheesy up til now, but he will lose this" then he just keeps winning somehow.
Obviously Bisu was playing pretty fucking sloppy but Shine put on his A game there.
>>378208791
also, regular OP here, that mspaintjob is fucking incredible. I'm saving that for future threads. Shame about not being able to have a normal threads for such good games, otherwise this would have been a madhouse when /ourboy/ won
Guys, guys...
What if Shine beats Flash?
>>378209548
Didn't manage to break Shine with the early pressure and then went for shuttle instead of observer and got fucked by lurkers.
Anyone noticed shine's fucking grin on his face moments before Bisu taps out when he kills all those probes with a lurker?
Amazing moment
>>378209548
Lurker rushed after a failed cheese, and his robo got taken out.
>>378209578
Fuck off poorshit, these threads are always live.
>>378209548
Surprise Lurkers.
Bisu couldn;t stick with hold position Zealots at the top of his ramp because the lurkers could poke them while being out of range of the cannon he had set up, so he had to run down the ramp and attack the Lurkers.
But that let a Ling run by happen.
tl:dr Lurker Timing attack
Imagine Kim attending another one of his definitely - not nuclear missile tests.
The rocket launches but it veers off course, turns around and eventually starts coming back down to earth ar around Kim's location, who can only scream in horror. The missile explodes and it just about misses where Kim is but is strong enough to knock him away and causing a few injuries and his clothes ripped to pieces.
The next day the world only hears about how the nuclear and ballistic teams in NK have all been executed for gross incompetence and endangerment.
>>378209619
The actual moment of relief was when a Shuttle popped out of the Robo instead of an Observer

today has been the worst day in history for me
>>378209548
>So what the hell happened with Bisu in the last game?
timing attack. Shine explained it in the interview afterwards. He said he noticed while observing that Bisu often goes for corsairs on outsider so he prepared a ling lurker timing attack made specifically to break the wall and fuck shit up while Bisu spends his money on corsair and shuttle.
Basically shine was in his opponents mind once again and it won him the game.
To be fair, shine should have won the first match as well, scouting that overlord with a corsair was incredibly lucky and saved his ass. Without it he would haven fallen to shine's crazy tactics as well.
>>378209620
>these threads are always live
I know they are, but plenty of people come late as well.
To have the results posted within the first 15 posts of the thread is a dick move.
>>378209752
What a shame.
>>378209706
>sister would rather spend saturday night with her boyfriend than watching starcraft with me
Favorite race and player?
I just don't think Shine can beat Flash in a BoX. the only zerg who could right now is Larva
>>378209771
>>378209706
you deserve everything you got, and you got all of it for having the audacity to bet against /ourboy/ shine
Why would you not immediately stop the shuttle and start an observer when you see the lurkers?
Why would you let corsairs spawn into scourge you've had vision over for 20 seconds?
>>378209720
This. Shine basically stomped Bisu.
>>378209701
nah, I just rewatched it he was still tense as fuck when the shuttle came out and only relaxed with the probe kill
although you are right that a shuttle popping instead of an observer won him the game
>>378209526
Shine will beat Flash, then celebrate by beating Jaedong in an exhibition match
>>378209720
>to shine's crazy tactics
These games saw a lot of standard play.
Or at least no: "I'm gonna make a hatchery in your main base"
Hyrda busts turn out to be pretty good against Toss
What was great was the long game with the back and forth between mass hydra -> muta scourge -> hydra again to be one step ahead of the counter units that Bisu built.
>>378209829
did he even have an observatory up?
i'll see y'all niggas tomorrow night for Soulkey vs. Flash. Even though I love Soulkey I'm hoping Flash wins because I don't want a ZvZ final.
>>378209829
I could maybe let the observer one pass, there probably wasn't enough time to start up an observer, given if he even had an observatory available to make one.
The corsair one is just retardation though
>>378209848
>Shine basically stomped Bisu.
Bisu fucked up every single game with his corsairs, he dropped the ball hard. Shine's scourge play wasn't that good, but almost all of them ended up connecting anyways.
I have a feeling that all these previous best of all time players got stagnant with the sole exception of Flash who is just as crazy as he ever was. Everyone else however I'm not really impressed by. Soulkey and Shine are probably my favourite players right now.

Shine rewriting zerg meta as we speak

A zerg + Lurker timing attack. He only had Zealots on a ramp. The idea was to block vs. Zerglings. But against Lurkers, they just evaporated.

What a world
Soulkey has to be feeling pretty bad - everyone who doesn't care one way or the other about him or Flash is rooting for Flash to avoid a ZvZ finals
>Mong
Decent, but weaker player
>Bisu
P is weak vs. Z. Shine has the advantage.
Flash's messing with the brackets resulted in a weaker player going farther.
S1 and S2 were weak player from one bracket vs. Strong player. The Finals then end up being a domination.
And PLEASE Flash needs to win. Pay off Soulkey to throw the match or something. A Z vs. Z finals is hell.
>>378210004
he beat him in the team league finals
>>378210202
>ZvZ finals
Please lord, I don't want BW to die again.
>>378210115
He's doing crazy plays, like in game 1 doing a very early drop while he distracts at the front with a fake bust. It was scouted, but this is a novel strategy.
>>378210248
They need to remove this choose your own opponents nonsense in the Round of 16. Make it draws + Rules to distribute races as evenly as possible. Even distribution means its more likely races will eliminate each other.
As someone who's new to watching tournament play, what is wrong with zerg vs zerg? Is it just "rush to victory, over in 5 minutes" or are there other issues?
>>378209874
I was specifically referring to the first game in that post. Feigned hydra bust to have him set up loads of canons and then going for slow overlord elevator.
It would have worked as well as said if Bisu hadn't spotted the overlord.
Second game was in fact rather standard as was the third.
>>378210115
Those 2 matches with early hydra drops were pretty hype. Shine could had even won the first match if he had actually bothered doing some micro.
>>378210318
Matches are under 8 minutes, and never that interesting. It's just Zerglings and Mutas. The "fights" can consist of two clumps of Mutas and it's just who has the most wins. It's not very dramatic.
>>378210248
What's wrong with ZvZ?
>>378210236
and what a final that was
>>378210318
Quickly snowballs into a win out of the smallest mistakes.
It's not necessarily bad, but it ends really quickly.
People have compared it to a knife fight in a phone booth.
>>378210342
Shine should have backed off after the Corsair spotted it. If he had hit the drops perfectly it would have blind sided Bisu before he could get defenses up in time and win. But it was spotted. He just doubled down on it. Probably because ti was too all in.
>>378209980
gotta make up some toss banter for this one now

Why do people hate Rapid?
He's a dweeb, but he's just there to fill air time. That's fine.
Would you prefer to have Artosis alone?
>>378210525
Oh wow
>>378210610
He's basically Reddit incarnate
Yes, I would prefer solo Artosis
>>378210610
I don't think rapid was that bad. He's no Tasteless, but it's not like he was terrible to hear or without decent commentary on the match
>>378210412
True, but had he targeted the Nexus he wouldn't need to have gged as soon as the drop was over. Shine also has this weird obsession with dropping everything he was doing and running hydars straight towards any reaver he sees.
>>378210610
It's just that people like Tastosis so much.
>tfw never ever getting the honor of being beaten by Flash in a finals because you were born white
>>378210678
>He's basically Reddit incarnate
Oh wow, that's perfect.
Do you think Rapid and Tasteless hang out? Rapid has mentioned seeing Tasteless' builds, presumably meaning he's seen him play.
>>378210678
>>378210691
rapid today was great
first time I found his shitty nerd jokes endearing and he pumped up the energy of the cast a lot with his hype
>>378210704
>and running hydars straight towards any reaver he sees.
That was seriously a weird decision on his part.
Reavers move at a literal snail pace, he could have just moved all his hydras to the south side of the Nexus and easily taken it out, then suicided them on the Reaver
Bisu's weak. Stork is pathetic. A lot of these Gods are much weaker. They don't have the time to train anymore. There's no team houses anymore. It's just online streaming.
With no team houses, it's harder to bring up new players too.
>>378210704
yeah, I was thinking the same
huge mistake, but that's what you get with split second decision making in high tense situations
>>378210773
Artosis and Tasteless can't speak Korean despite living in the country for 10 years, I'm sure they have a very small bubble they interact with, so it's likely.
>>378210807
He was better today than usual, I'll give him that. Stop with the reddit memes and just let the nerd laugh out a bit more, the flamboyant energy is preferable to trying too hard with memes.
>>378210829
My theory is that Reavers killed his father.
>>378210807
Rapid is doing the SSL with Wolf. I think he's improving. He's getting more confident. Before in the ASL, he had the really bad habit of being extremely self confident and making mention of that. I think he's more relaxed now.
Shine is the weaker player overall. So instead of fighting his opponents head on in standard macro games, he uses crazy unpredictable strategies. When those pay off, he looks like a genius. When he gets caught, he loses.
He's a gimmick player.
>>378210901
>, I'm sure they have a very small bubble they interact with, so it's likely.
They mentioned going out for drinks with Shine preiviously. Does he know Englihs? Wonder if they got one of the producers to translate.
>>378210978
Wow you're right. I guess we should stop having tournaments and just hand a trophy to whoever has highest ELO on Fish server each month instead.
>>378210978
Well, it's working for him so far.
>>378210978
And we love him for it. At least he didn't do 100% hydra busts in a row.
>>378210691
>>378210807
he wasn't as bad today as he usually is. I laughed at a couple of things, mostly just because he had nothing else to say and couldn't think of anything, like when he went from star wars to conan references because he panicked.. I forgive him for getting things wrong. Knowing shit about broodwar is one thing but being able to remember it when you're live on camera is another.
out

>>378210978
Is that really a bad thing? I mean he is literally the asl/gsl observer, not really a pro player. He even has trouble practicing because of his kids, Makes for exciting games most importantly.
>>378210610
Rapid is terrible at casting brood war.
He's a SC2 caster and obviously doesn't know that much and tries to sound like he knows what he's talking about.
He had the maps medusa and outsider mixed up. There are no stacked temples on outsider.
