Akiba's Strip. Upgrades come from combining clothes of the same type to raise the stats by one. There was also random drops that were already boosted. People were so desperate for viable clothing that they would equip female clothes just to be able to take on enemies. Certain players would equip only female clothing, intentionally.

Akiba's Beat: It's very different from Akiba's Strip, but in a good way. It'd be a great $15-$20 game, but we all know that will never happen.

Idea Factory: They have the artists and programmers to make incredible games, but they never even try.

XSEED Games: Famous for localizing lewd games, yet never bring over lewd games. With a rise in censorship, and a lack of new titles coming out, their fanbase is waning.

I don't think this is limited to just XSeed. Aside from a small handful of games what is left to localize? Some C tier obscure game? Most big games are being published by the USA branch or In-house now. What I see happening now is for the relatively popular games like Ys, Kiseki,Senran,Some Visual novels, being fought over by all the localization companies. It already happened with Ys, with NISA outbidding XSeed for it. Though Kiseki is probably safe because of it's massive script size and the autistic fans will throw a fit if anything is changed due to different localizers.
