Tiffany is better than AJ. The same stealth but much better at running away when caught. The only problems Tiffany has are terrible repair, which isn't usually that terrible, and bad composure so fear drops slow. But Jason seems to have no problem sensing me out as AJ once he finds me anyway so I don't think it's that big a deal.

Can anyone give me the rundown on what to do after breaking free of Jason? After shooting him with a flare gun, or hitting him, etc.

Do you just run and hide again? Because if you're scared I think it just gives you away, and running doesn't work since he can just teleport to you.

Do you just kite him around a building until you stop being scared? Then sneak around hoping you don't show up as a blip?

Of course they have. When the game launched I got Jason half the time. I've had about a dozen matches today and haven't gotten him once.

To not set your preference as Jason is basically to say, "I never want to be him", so everyone has it set. The system basically just functions to allow you to opt out of playing Jason entirely when you want to play co-op with your friends instead of killing them.

It's difficult to judge the balance right now because both sides are full of people who have no idea what they are doing. Most Jason players don't knock out the power or trap objectives - they just use traps to kill the first person they tunnel.
Most counselors will take a fuse and then instead of dropping it in front of the phone and announcing so, will travel to the other side of the map to die. And people won't call out important stuff like the propeller because they don't even know what that is yet. That's not even getting into the fact that people manage to die before Jason even gets shift.

Its a good game but its super janky right and needs a little balance work, its also busted right now due to server issues, don't think the devs expected the reception.

I feel really shit when I get every kill as Jason. It's just so obvious what the best approach to getting kills is. I also have pretty much mastered the combat and can block and hit anyone trying to fight back.

Same with counselors, I can block and land hits on Jason. Combat mode is pretty important.

It's a good way to do quick teleports without using morph, like going from one end of a cabin to another to trap counselors.

So I guess my biggest complaint is that playing as a counselor isn't very fun. Completing objectives involves you searching drawers in cabins and that's literally it. There's not much variety. It's so repetitive and the only thing you can do is hope you don't get spotted by Jason.

This is actually pretty easy to do, the problem is that it requires coordination. You need a female counselor who is willing to wear the sweater and hang back, you need Tommy Jarvis to be called and to be willing to do the plan, and you need everyone to find lethal weaponry, especially an axe or two, and some health sprays and pocket knives. If you do this, which is pretty easy if the whole team is on in it, then you can get his mask off easy, and if tommy is there when the mask comes off and you've got the sweater girl nearby, you've already won.

So it will only happen with random players in the rarest of circumstances.

Here's a bamboozler: apparently people who have been getting the database error can solve it by switching accounts and playing on another. Cause of this was apparently all those who played asap on release were on old servers. When they migrated server setups all the accounts on the old ones didn't get transferred; or some shit like that. Consoles tho people have got it working by using alt accounts and for steam there are reports of people making another account then using family sharing. Personally I'm too lazy to go through all that bullshit but I thought I'd share some info/ start a riot to get some refunds if this shit isn't fixed.

I always end up spawning on some godforsaken corner of the map, and by the time I find some gas and make my way back to a hub area around the four-seater or something, half the team is dead and the rest are scattered to the winds and shitting their pants in the forest. It's getting ridiculous.
