I thought it was kinda garbage. Game feels a bit simplistic when played on a Pro controller, and felt sluggish when played with the Joycons. I wanted to go in and be impressed like I was when I played Splatoon on the Wii U, but it was kinda eh in the end. Nice visuals though.

Every character EXCEPT for the Mummy has a damage range of 140-160 on throw. Mummy has 200, which is ridiculous in the long run. Pair it with a heavy fist and stop other grabs while throwing out your own.

I think it just has a higher learning curve than compared to Splatoon. I saw some legitimately impressive stuff when I'm getting my ass kicked by other players that knows how to use their controllers well. I'm sure it will probably get better when we're not waggling all over the place and learn to use precise movements like any other fighting games.

His parry is just so good, especially since most people don't even seem to know it's a thing right now. It's also pretty useful in team fights, I remember a match where I kept parrying in front of my Master Mummy teammate while he was dishing out the damage. It was wonderful.

Not that anon, but I feel the controls are too sensitive. At anything other than absolute neutral, my character was moving in directions that I didn't want. It gets worse when you try to pull some complicated stuff like combining jump, curve punch, dash, and so forth in one motion.

Spent pretty much the whole test playing as the mummy, barely ever lost anything. Huge fist + triple shot fist was great. That 200 damage through is also great. Slow as absolute shit though. Healing by blocking is nice but people will get wise to that and go for throws.

I don't know if it's just like, new player panicking syndrome or something, but I feel like I fucked up more than I should have. Maybe I'm just not used to motion controls, but I dunno. It's definitely A LOT of micromanaging the controls I feel, it was throwing me off.
