Fucking this, Bethesda's games have been jumbled pieces of shit since Morrowind, and let's be honest could have been made by any studio working on open world games. Fallout 3, 4, Oblivion, Skyrim, were said when they released to take full advantage of current tech but that was a blatant lie because they ran on shit engines and really didn't push the envelope at all. You could have made Fallout 3 5 years before with worse graphics and draw distance, but it would still be essentially the same game.

they did. gamebryo is a modular engine; even as far back as morrowind the game is majority bethesda components. the problem is bethesda is fucking awful at engine design (what a surprise since they're fucking awful at everything else involved in game development)
