Either Phantasy Star Online or Final Fantasy XIV (+1000 hours in XIV, bur I have been playing PSO since v1 on dreamcast, it hard to keep track of my playtime with it). No regrets, I love both of them.
I regret most of my other time sinks, though. Warframe, Team Fortress 2, shitty DotA maps on Warcraft 3 (and all DotA clones)... I'm starting to regret Overwatch too, but at least I still have friends to play with.

Just messing around in the maps. MGSV is the game I play when I have nothing else to play. I dont have many games.

780 hours on Skyrim. No sexlab on any on my playthroughs either. I'd legit played with so many mods to overhaul the combat and perks multiple times. I even did a loli Requiem run. That one was interesting. Don't regret much but I do sometimes wish I played other things at the time.

Also Planetside 2 for 472 hours. Regret every moment with this one. Least the starter weapons for the majority of the classes were the best.

As an incredibly low estimate, 12000 hours in Diablo 2 over 8 years from release. That's only averaging 4 hours a day of the game, and I would often spend 2+ days playing it straight through with no sleep or breaks other than to microwave something. The year it came out I was still in school as well, so I installed it on library computers and would play during lunch and skip classes or ask to do library research and play for entire periods at a time, so it's likely closer to 20000 hours or more. I regret the last couple years of it because I lost touch with some friends who I never reconnected with due to never wanting to do anything but stay home and play games.

I think it's probably the first Disgaea game, did literally everything but it took me around 3000 hours. I don't regret it in the slightest, I was in high school and would sneak downstairs to play all night while my parents slept, then head back up around 4 am. >Game mods get mad at me for the specific reason of camping survivors with Insidious even when other survivors are not around, say it's griefing, and will get banned if I do it again

I have over 30,000 hours on my 13 year old FFXI account. Next closest is probably whatever I have in WoW (I don't have that subbed right now, so I'm not sure what it is), 1400 hours in TF2 and most recently I'm nearing 700 hours in Rainbow Six Siege.

Pic semi-related, it's the last time I took a playtime screenshot of FFXI. I'd launch it right now, but I'm logged in on my laptop while I render video over here.

Anyway, I don't regret that shit for a minute. MMO enjoyment is a very temporary thing, both because of eras of the game, and the people you meet on them and how long they'll play. I wouldn't trade the world for all those hours.

I had multiple characters, however one character in particular my Paladin was my MAIN character, it was who I spent the most time on and that was on 380+ days played when I finally quit. It went from College to University days where I would sometimes just pull a sicky or skip class to play it. It seems crazy looking back, I did come out with my Uni Degree though despite it, so thank god.

I think depending on the game and what you're doing in it it can be considered a legitimate hobby. Games can provide fulfilling experiences and real social interaction within a community of like-minded autists. Obviously you don't get the physical benefits of playing sports nor is it considered socially acceptable as something to sink thousands of hours into like playing a musical instrument or reading, but it's not necessarily worse or less legitimate as a hobby.

585 Hours in Counterstrike:Source. No ragrets, every single hour was in Zombie Escape servers and shit was fun.

Used to be an admin for a popular server series where most of the other admins were cunts so players loved me. Was in the Chair Force at the time and all of the regulars stopped playing when I couldn't admin for 6 months. Was both touching and depressing.

Probably SF: Third Strike. Dunno how many hours but I've played it since it came out and used to go to tourneys. It still gets busted out whenever the old group gets back together.

No I don't regret, it I regret that cata happened and I decided to play again BC-Wotlk was probably the happiest time of my life.
I did a lot of cool shit with some cool people, I wish I could contact them but they all disappeared.

I'd turn back time and relive all those raid nights, battlegrounds, running around naked in Ironforge as horde, all those late night vent sessions.
Even though autistic hours I spent fishing.

I think it was fate though, cata came and ruined the game which caused my friends to quit and eventually myself to quit.

I'm actually pretty fucking successful, all things considered. You can also do vidya and working out too you know, an hour in the gym 5-6 days a week is more than enough to get you in great shape with good dieting habits, and that leaves more than enough time to play games too.

Yeah, I played that game to death as a kid and teenager, easily 10k+ hours over the course of several years. It was a fantastic experience and even taught me a lot about economics and basic coding

I occasionally log back in because it was such a big part of my life back then, but my main account got frozen during some weird fiasco that happened when I wasn't even playing so it's just not the same.

It would take too long to describe it all, but suffice it to say that the dev team is trying to stop people from grinding effectively in a game that's endgame is quite literally acquiring all the loot there is to be had.

The PvP is trash.
The cool vehicle sections are mediocre.
The co-op content, which is the meat of the game, hasn't been updated in any meaningful way for years.
The gameplay isn't really that fun and any kind of movement tech that's the least bit interesting is removed.
The dev team regularly loses peoples' data for things like rare items whenever they make a sweeping change and then refund people in paltry amounts worth easily over 100x less whenever they slip up (which is probably on purpose because they'd rather have you grind and whore yourself out as a player to them and buy the premium currency)
Every single fucking thing that you craft in that game takes real time. Do you want to craft a weapon? Get the materials for the sub-components, craft those (which takes 8 hours), get more materials, and then craft the weapon (which takes a DAY). Do you want another character? Prepare to wait at LEAST THREE fucking days for your reward (or just buy it with premium currency :^) )

The whole thing turned into a fucking scam, basically. It's no longer a game.

I know, the faction wars are a buggy clusterfuck and there's far too many humans compared to monsters, but otherwise the game is pretty comfy. I've spent hours just following squads of my faction, advancing with them while fighting skirmish after skirmish in order to take control of the land.

Guilty of this as well; I started day 1 and played it through Cata's release, and then stopped and came back for each expansion (except for MoP, which I came in right at the end instead).

I don't regret it at all, I have so many memories and I'm still to this day online friends with people that I met in Vanilla. We STILL play games together, we've met IRL, and I wish there was another game that captured the same magic of community being released nowdays.

Kind of small time compared to other people, whether the game is Pokemon or otherwise. I do regret most of it because I spent so much time EV training, leveling to 100, and grinding for some items/TMs to make shit teams for Battle Revolution.

Played Fatal Frame 3 a fuck ton of times and would do it again because I love it.
Elder Scrolls games have taken a lot of my time too.

If you understood RNG abuse, you could quickly get shinies whenever you wanted from Gen 4 up to Gen 6. Then in XY/ORAS, there's the Shiny Charm to make it even easier.
