Yeah, it tends to help. IDK why, but the PS4 always has way slower than usual download speeds. Another thing is to make sure that you don't have any games or apps running in the background. If everything is closed, it seems to download much faster

43GB are 43*1024*8 Mbit. That is 352256 Mbits you gotta download. In a perfect world it would take you 16 hours to download this.
But you have a PS4. Their network is shit. They have 3 different hosts for their datacenters. 2 of those suck. Their network software is a buggy piece of shit since gooks can't into computers.
And then they only chooses the worst of the worst network parts of a batch. Like Apple pays manufacturers a premium for their best of the best parts? Sony sneaks into the garbage cans and steals the trash that is not good enough to be used in a commercial product.
I have a 400 mbit connection. In a perfect world, I would need 14 minutes to download your game. On steam, Battle.net, GoG, hell even Origin, I actually download this much in 14-15 minutes. On PlayStation consoles? It takes 3-5 hours.
And we pay them money. let that sink in, we pay them money for their online services.

and speeds go up to 300Mb/s for like $50USD/month

And remember that all of this would be about 2/3rds the size if devs would just compress their fucking graphics and audio.
