Sure, it looks bad in this font, but it doesn't actually look like that in game. Watch the webm, senpai. It's very easy to read. Even if it hypothetically wasn't, all the important text like item names, stats and character info is in regular text. Navigating the menus is all done by muscle memory after a few hours, so you don't even have to actively read any of it.

I honestly hate what a pain in the ass it is to switch outfits, drop rods (since the throw button becomes an aimed elemental shot), and take out wood to build a fire. It gets worse the more you get, especially since new weapons/shields get slapped at the end of your long "quick" switching tab and you can't sort it unless you go into the main menu.

I kinda like it. It's all pretty and flashy in a shallow kinda way. Making menus exciting to look at is an accomplishment.

I'd much prefer a menu that works well than looks nice, though.

Morrowind objectively has the best UI of any game I've ever played/seen.

All information is conveyed concisely and the every window is completely resizable and movable. The only thing it lacked was sorting options, probably because of memory constraints. You can even pin windows so they stay open when you leave the menu (so you could say, have the world map pinned instead of using the minimap, or pin the status screen and resize it to cover your status bars with the numbered ones in the menu, etc). You can equip items by clicking and dragging or by using shortcuts, and you can unequip items by clicking on them on your character. The entire thing is the best use of a mouse I've seen for a vidya UI.

You fuckers disappoint me. Most intuitive? No. Most complete? Without a doubt. Any Croteam game is fantastic for it.
Also Bioshock Infinite did something not enough games do. In the Graphical options, actually show in real time what the different resolutions, shadows, etc change instead of having to accept, go into game, notice the difference, go into menu again, experiment, repeat until you like it.

I like when games do this. I think it was Dying Light that had when going into a menu, time stops, yet when you're making a custom weapon it would have a little meter show it being build. In real time, it makes sense, it adds a sense of dread. When time is stopped in menu, might as well have it immediately give the new item, no point in having a little bar feel up for no reason.
