Bought them from some Chink on ebay a few years ago. He had a strip of ugly brown leather shittily sewn on to the headband, but it is actually comfortable as fuck, so I've never taken it off.

I wish my town had headphone meetups so I could have checked out other headphones before purchasing these, but I absolutely love them and have no complaints. They're only okay for gaming, since they don't have the soundstage of some other similarly priced headphones, but they're absolutely phenomenal for music.

A blue snowball ice is a condenser mic, so you don't really have to be RIGHT in front of it, but you do generally want to be close for good audio.

If you like the headset setup, but don't want to buy shitty cheaply-constructed gaming gear, find an antlion modmic for cheap and just stick it to proper headphones. It's very likely you'll spend a lot more money replacing chinkshit gaming headsets than you will just getting well-constructed audio peripherals in the first place.

I just ordered this today. Been using shitty gaman sets for awhile that were always overpriced and poor quality in both sound and mic.

Reviews seem pretty favorable for the price. Bretty excited. The supposed sound leakage is something I'm a bit worried about. No buds or headset now and get worried about sound bleeding too much into the mic when speaking.

Hopefully this isn't too bad.

whats the recommended headphone impendence for the 3ds? my NVX XPT100 with 64ohms makes the volume feel too low.

As low as you can get.
The 3DS is very quiet, so if you are going to use them almost exclusively with it you have no risk of breaking them.
It varies if are earbuds or headphones though.

For the record the soundmagic e10c are 48ohms and it feels loud enough but the sony mdr-xb450ap are 24ohms and feel as loud as the e10c.
