Have to fight the same monster 5 times to advance to the same monster but with a new move, you need to keep doing this for your end game set.

Hayabusa Feather
Best end game item for builds that don't require Deviant sets, requires you to do EVERY VILLAGE QUEST (this means no online) in the game, some quests don't even unlock until you get HR70 or complete online quests. It's as long as a grind as farming relic weapons were in 4u.

Unbalanced Styles/Hunter Arts
Only one class is good with guild and that's bow, but it's still outclassed by Bushido Bow. Styles and Arts are so unbalanced that some styles completely outclass every other weapon/style in the game. For example Striker Lance can clear monster 5 minutes faster than every other weapon in the game. There is literally no reason to play any other style. You'll have people defend it and say "well you don't have to do x or y, i-its for fun" But it's not fun when your favorite style/arts do 500% less damage than one just because it has an OP gimmick.

The problem is the unfun styles end up being much more faster and efficient at killing things that you might as well use that if you're grinding/farming materials. Why use Guild Lance when Striker Lance will kill the monster in 1/3rd the time.

I use to like Swaxe, but after 30 hours of the game and getting my Lv10 Swind Set and L10 Hellfire weapon I tried Striker to see the appeal and it was literally X X X X X X X X X and it killed things in half the time. I ended up just taking a break from the game because of it, then a couple weeks ago picked up 4u and been having a blast.

It's a fine anniversary game, but it's not as good as any of the mainline games before. The series has been changing but MHX decided to add wacky shit like Supers which make you vary based on weapon classes for example Switch Axe gets a perma-sword mode that lets you do 400% damage and the entire playstyle devolves on mashing X.

A lot of people don't like the forced style/arts system, they're so imbalanced that people feel forced to pick the most optimal one even if it's not particularity enjoyable to play. MHXX took a big decline in sales so it's safe to say that the Japan playerbase didn't like it as well.

Monster hunter will never come on PS4 and here's why.

1. Capcoms idea for Monster Hunter is that the player goes and explores then hunts monsters they want people to do this outside as well, like meeting up with your friends and going hunting together so they prefer a handheld console

2. Japan is a very portable/ handheld dominant country. If you go over there you will see many with 3DS, Vita and some even still have a PSP. Handheld is where the money is as Japanese don't like being sat down at home.

3. Capcom doesn't want to divide the community into different platforms, they want to keep people on one platform that is selling well so that everyone can still hunt together. To say they're going to split the games to PS4/Switch will be going against their ideas.
