But why is this a problem? Insurgency is a legit GOTY FPS and Day of Infamy is all the better for being essentially an ascended mod for it.

Not really. Rising Storm 2 has realistic ballistics and you'd barely notice in most situations.

People think Battlefield's ballistics are realistic I guess.

Its noticeable if you're shooting past 50m. Hitscan is cancer in a tactical shooter, I don't believe in NWI's ability to create something worth playing even on UE4. All of their games play like CSGO but everyone dies in 1-2 shots.
