Jason goes To Hell? Lol. I honestly think that is a fantastic 90s horror film, it deserves to be rediscovered as the overlooked gem it is, but it's one of those movies that perfectly fits the old meme "It's a great movie but a bad 'X' movie". The bugs don't really bother me that much, it's how strong Jason is. And it's not just how strong, it's why he is that way. The police nerf makes them unreliable at best and then there is only the 4 seater and 2 seater escapes. The map teleport is so fast that survivors don't really have a chance to get out if you keep on top of it, and even if you decide to chase people Jason gets five traps that can only get disarmed by pocket knives, which are rare.
Then while you're trying to do an objective he teleports on top of you and instant kills you.

I knock Jason out with a swing, so that he actually falls over. Then I pick a direction and run, but it doesn't matter. Jason can see which direction I run, then he can either morph or shift after me. Once Jason has you in his sights, it's only possible to escape if he decides to chase after someone else, or deliberately lets you go. If have actually knocked Jason over onto his back and still can't slip away, isn't something wrong with the way the game works? Or am I missing something important here?

He can't use his abilites for a few seconds after getting out of a stun so you have plenty of time to get away. Usually to a house.
This isn't DbD, if the Jason is good enough he will eventually get you, but you can delay that. If you're good enough he'll fuck off to easier targets and so that people don't escape, and if it's late in the game you can win off the 20 minute timer.

If you jump through a window into a house and the door isn't smashed or unlocked, you have a good 10-15 seconds to find a way to dupe him. Say he starts smashing the door down, you can jump out a window in the back. Perhaps you can try hiding under a bed but it rarely ever works. Buildings, however, are the best Jason escapes. They also give you a chance to regen your stamina. The longer you spend out in the woods, the higher your chances of dying, basically.

Jason tracks people by noise. The noise is represented by an expanding circle on the screen. Jogging and sprinting creates the most noise. If you can dupe him in a forest and then either crouch or hide, there's a good chance he won't be able to detect you because you won't be producing any sound. In which case he'll just turn around and go for the next target.

I tried this out with steam share and I'm not digging it. Feels like a good Jason, especially after phase 3, will kill you if he wants. There's no counterplay due to his teleport instakills (and sense showing where you are by highlighting buildings) and traps (which can't be diasarmed without rare pickups) resulting in a very impossible / oppressive game if you don't get lucky and win in 5 minutes before he gets all his powers.. The game encourages using your less stealthy friends as bait so if it ever comes down to a 1v1 it's game over.

Dead by Daylight feels better since with enough skill you can juke the killer for quite a long time (if not outright in certain maps) and feels more interactive. F13 is

I don't see the game on Steam new games or top sellers. You'd think the game is suffering in sales because it doesn't appear on any lists, the only people who are going to buy it are those who followed the game. Yet the servers are down because they got more players than they anticipated.

I don't know the mechanics, but from playing, this is how I believe it works.
When you make noises there is chance of the noise being heard by Jason. When you run you can see yourself emitting a white circle in the mini map. When you run slowly you see that more often. When you walk you very rarely see that white circle, and when you stealth you never see it.
Every time you see that circle in your minimap, it means Jason can hear you.

If you quietly sneak into the woods Jason is not going to be able to track you. He needs direct line of sight if you are walking slowly.
The problem with this is that there is also a fear system. Walking into the woods also makes you character more afraid, so that when Jason uses his sense ability he can x-ray vision see you.

Part 8 isn't nearly as bad as people make it sound, its just that for those that went in expecting to see Jason in New York got severely disappointed because the vast majority of the movie is in a boat, and when they do make landfall its all generic alleyways and docks and a generic rooftop, so before watching it be fully aware of that fact and try to enjoy it for what it is, Jason being fucking pissed.

A few million dollars is still a pretty small budget for a video game like this. I mean shit, Mighty Number 9 has 3 million and ended up looking like shit and this game is only a little behind most modern AAA games in terms of graphics.

Wrong. Nightmare 1 is better than any F13, as are the first 2 Texas Chainsaws, and first 2 aliens, and Videodrome isn't even a slasher film, so it is irrelevant. What makes F13 shine is the quality and rewatchability of the entire franchise (except for 5). If you go past the 2nd film F13 crushes all of your examples.
