By far my favorite for emulation. It's good for everything from NES to GCN thanks to the analog buttons. Only drawback is that you need an adapter.

For most PC games I use a Dualshock 3.

Gamecube only has 3 shoulder buttons.

You can set the 4th shoulder button on the controller to be the modified light-analog press of R in the emulator's controller inputs.

It's actually a lot more convenient than the regular layout, because then you will do guaranteed shotgun sprays or running sprays with no chance of it stopping and holding you in place.

PS4 controller is great, bought one on release and haven't regretted it.
Touchpad is handy for PC, can turn off the stupid light, can remap everything, can plug in a cable if its running out of juice. Put a thick silicone grip on it so its bigger because its still kind of slender for my big hands.
Also dropped it and hit my desk with it several times, works perfectly still.

Switch pro controller if you can get the dpad fixed
