Reminder that Bethesda's marketing team hated the original plot twist in Prey 2 because it was "too confusing":

loved half life 1 and doom 3

so far in prey
story is not very interesting and the close combat feels worse then in ss2 its ok but the game isnt a masterpiece although its not a complete waste of hdd space

The constant whining about this game is pathetic, like you perpetually unhappy wet towels need some kind of validation from each other for not liking video games anymore.

I enjoyed the hell out of this game and I'm thinking about starting my second playthrough. Paid full price too, so hopefully Arkane keeps making good games that get your hateboners going for more than 4 hours.

It's no surprise the game didn't sell that well. It's the closest to an actual "action-rpg" I've seen in years. Combat requires actually using your brain for two seconds instead of just brute-forcing your way through.

I don't see much of a future for Arkane after both this and Dishonored 2 failed.

Bought it, finished it, liked it. Didn't mind the ending, it was kind of obvious. I'd say the game can be a bit too easy at times. As long as you rely on operators to heal you and do some basic exploration, you can make yourself an unstoppable powerhouse with infinite bullets and magic. It was fun.

Then you have a different definition of "no thought", because the higher difficulty levels do require some thinking. On the other hand, in most cases this thinking comes natural (i.e. Technopath ahead -> use EMP grenade to stun -> kill quickly -> if it takes too long, throw another etc.).
Many people never consider these things and just run in blindly, flailing about and chewing through a dozen med-packs to fight one group of enemies.
Hell, there are people complaining about getting lost in the G.U.T.S. and it's literally a straight line.
