Hey. ive tried two different dreamcasts on both of my tvs and the cables are all brand new and so are dreamcasts themselves yet i still can't it to connect to the tvs? are there any settings in need to change? ive even tried a av to hdmi converter to no avial

All those av cables you have look to be an off brand. Try genuine dreamcast cables. If that doesnt work you might have a bad connextion inside the dreamcast.
