Most of the gimmicks are bad and, aside from portals, not used properly. I've already wanted to kill myself the first time I was in a vehicle section and I had to endure this shit twice

Most of the levels are boring unlit Doom 3 trash, with the exception of native-america land, which is the only interesting thing about the game

Despite having relatively interesting designs, the alien weaponry is boring as fuck, with the exception of leech gun. I expected more.

Finally most of the enemies are your typical grunt with assault rifle. While they occasionally have an interesting placement, it's all goes to shit when you realize that in most of the areas you have to fight them twice, because they portal-hop once you clear the area. But, funny enough, they cannot cancel their animation during the portal hop which makes them very easy targets.

OP here, I don't enjoy old games. I grew up playing 6-bit games and enjoy the evolution of gaming where now we have photorealistic graphics and great mechanics and physics in games. I don't like going back and if I do it's only to play games that are my all time favs.
Plus most of these games I have played as a kid, quake, doom, wolfenstien.
i actually didn't like them tbqh I was never into FPS as a kid.
Fighting, platforms and sports games were my thing then.
