What is the best Zelda dungeon?

Stone Tower Temple is almost number one because of its music, atmosphere, and interested gimmick, but gets disqualified for annoying song mechanics.

I always liked the Light Temple most. Thought it was great going back and forth through time to beat it, reflecting light to solve puzzles. Big iron guy.

Great Bay Temple is my favorite. This and all the stuff before you get here is the best part of Majoras Mask.

Better idea: throw the best 10 dungeons in the series into one game.

I nominate Eagle Tower,Turtle Rock (LttP) Water temple, Great Bay Temple, Stone Tower Temple, and Wind Temple

I don't consider Hyrule Castle from BOTW a dungeon per se, but goddamn that atmosphere, that lore, that fucking music, that everything. I just wanted to search every corridor of that place and see what I could find, 10/10 final level area in Zelda.

If were talking stricly dungeons, then I've always liked the creepiness and supernatural shit in the Shadow Temple. A lot of the Majora's Mask dungeons are solid too, I'm usually conflicted between the Stone Temple and Great Bay, kind of wish they didn't butcher the latter in the remake by forcing you to use ice arrows at very specific locations in the water.

This was a pretty ambitious dungeon and I give Nintendo credit for making it. The water temple in TP fails in to comparison of the elegance of great bay. It's probably bc a lot of the dungeons in TP are pretty linear.

While the Forest Temple, Stone Temple, and the water temple in TP are among my favorites, I really think that breath of the Wild knocked it out of the park with the way they handled the "temples".

Fuck, I forgot about the Elegy of Emptiness thing. Without it Stone Tower Temple would easily be a 10/10. At least they fixed the tediousness in the 3ds remake (but then they fucked up a bunch of other stuff).

Bongo Bongo is one of those bosses where his backstory is infinitely better than the actual boss fight. The actual fight is incredibly easy and straight forward, but the lore behind Bongo Bongo is intense.

I disagree. The Divine Beasts were fucking weak, and although the shrines were an interesting concept, I'd hate to see them permanently replace traditional dungeons.
