Anyone else kind of not hyped for E3 this year?

This past year was just incredibly weird and fast for me so it feels like E3 2016 just ended.

Also my hype for E3's are determined by how good the prior year was, and it's been two years in a row of meh for me.

2015 Nintendo was so bad that I had no hope for them at E3 2016 and obviously it was a good showing and game of the show but not really what we REALLY wanted. Last year's lame attempt makes me less hyped for Nintendo this year, on top of the fact that we aren't getting Smash any time soon so that's another huge factor of hype gone.

Sony's 2015 was literally too good to ever top, 2016 was still pretty decent though. Odd numbered Sony years are always their best conferences so I have a good amount of hope for this years but I'm still recovering from the hype bomb of E3 2015 that I'm not as hyped about it.

Microsofts? I don't own a gaming pc or xbone so who cares. Might still watch it though because I enjoy watching E3 overall.

EA will probably be dogshit, will still watch it for Battlefront 2.

Ubisoft is usually good but the past two years have left me kind of sour. 2015 was a good conference overall, but Aisha Tyler was a bit wooden and more natural than she usually is.

2016 Aisha was back to true fun form and it was a good show, but the games they showed off were pretty lame.

I love Assassin's Creed and Far Cry so I'm interested in their showing this year.

Currently I'm at about a 4 or 5/10 on the hype scale. Will probably be pushed through the roof by the time E3 prediction videos come out though.

Last summer I was playing through Final Fantasy 7 for the first time and would just listen to E3 Prediction videos and grind for hours on end. Good times.

This just in. Konami no longer owns the Zone of the Enders IP. Sony Japan purchased it two weeks ago.

I think it's just my hype overall is for Nintendo and based on Nintendo's past conferences. We will never get a presentation as good as E3 2010 (other than the Skyward Sword gaffe), it's just time to accept that. But I hope we can get something as good as their 2014, maybe 2013 at worst.

Nintendo should have a good showing this year though. They're on a two year cycle of two bad, two good (E3 2009: Good, E3 2010: Amazing. 2011: Bad. 2012: Bad. 2013: Good. 2014: Spectacular. 2015: TERRIBLE. E3 2016: Lame but good) so I'm expecting at least good.

The Metroid Prime series is finished and Retro are working on a new IP.
A new proper Metroid would be great, but Metroid Prime 4 won't (and shouldn't) ever happen.
