It's been a downhill ride since 4U, and crash landing on the Switch doesn't make it any better. If there's a MH edition console, maybe I'd get it since I eventually get every console (except Xbone obviously).

Also if it gets localized it'd be on 3DS, which I grew to prefer thanks to two screens. Control scheme is a non issue.

Also since when is a MH port a big deal? Casuals can't hang, it doesn't appeal to the average gamer, and the "hardcore" already know it's a weak MH title (unless you really like SwAxe).

You don't want normies getting into this game. There's Souls for that. Pretty soon there's gonna be auto-hunt or some novice mechanic that casualties it beyond repair (besides Adpet).

Worst news of 2017 by far. Lazy port. Good news if you already have a Switch and your first MH was MHGen, I guess. Or if you ned bait for console war threads.

It's a port, and I enjoy Monster Hunter for the hunting and watching people cart in hilarious ways. When shit gets too casual, hunt quality declines. When you can eat food to give your hunt a 4th death, equip Adept, and give every weapon a guard point, the game turns to shit. That's MHXX.

Obviously the switch version will be the best version (bigger screen is nice), but it's the best version of the worst MH. And that's not even an opinion.

This man gets it. Most weapons only had two useful styles regardless (some of which were straight upgrades to Guild). Something like allowing players to customize their movesets altogether instead of having to rely on the style presets would be dope though.
