Is having a pairing of AJ and Deb, and then hiding in one corner of the map out of the way from everything, a good strategy? I did this solo during the beta and never got caught, but with a partner you don't get the "alone and scared" debuff that makes you more visible on Jason's radar.

It will vary by Jason. I'll probably use 2 unique kills and 2 generic kills for each Jason. Part 2 will get the eye gouge, as I feel that fits him. Part 8 will get the head punch. Savini will get the pitchfork through the back of the head, pitchfork to the gut followed by lifting them up, punching them through the chest and out their back, and maybe the jaw rip.

I expected 30, but 40 isn't awful as long as it's good. I didn't get bored at all during the beta, and I usually can't stand playing nothing but multiplayer for more than 20 hours.

Not about faithfulness. It's a lot easier to add more camps because there's less asset creation needed, and the structure of the game doesn't really necessarily work in one big building such as a spaceship. They'd have to tweak a lot for it to work.

VII, the Lazarus and New York slums definitely we need to have those, and while IX was kind of garbage it did have Jason in a town like area rather than cabins in the woods so we'd have the Crystal Lake town too. A female counselor has to find Jason's mother's sweater in his shack, you also have to call in Tommy Jarvis, and have someone die to respawn as him, then you have to get Tommy a Machete and do enough damage to Jason to knock his mask off. The female counselor wears Pamela's sweater, and Tommy wear's Jason's mask.

The female counselor pretending to be Pamela Voorhees taunts Jason at close range to trick him into thinking she's his mother, then she has to inflict damage on him, like, hitting him in the head with an axe, that'll drop him to his knees and Tommy finishes him off by slamming a machete into the side of his face.

So basically, it'll never happen in live gameplay. Which is good, because if killing Jason is too easy, people will just gang up on Jason every round for the most xp, nobody will be scared of him. But because it's such a specific process to do, the escapes become more appealing ways to win, since trying to kill Jason is more likely than not to get you killed.

Whatever parts they find first, that's what they'll try to escape with.

because of the change to the police call escape, in the 1 day of streaming I've watched the escapes went from 90% of them being calls to the police, to seeing a pretty even ratio of car escapes, boat escapes, and police escapes.. Obviously the rarest victory will be killing Jason, and the second rarest will be successfully hiding when the time runs out.

I've seen people run the clock out but because they were visible to Jason it didn't end the game.

I'm actually curious how the hiding escape works or if it's even really a thing. I'd think it would be, otherwise what's the point of the clock?

You now need a fuse in your inventory to repair the phone for the first time. The fuse will be in a random drawer in any of the cabins in the same area as the phone. So if the phone is at Blair's Cove in the Higgin's Haven map, there are 4 cabins there. The fuse could be in any of them.

This means most Jason players will morph to the phone and chase people out of the phone area so that if they want to fix the phone they have to search every cabin later.

Yeah this game is going to be a flop. Something fun for maybe a week and then people will get tired of it and probably all go back to DBD or something.

The whole gimmick of Jason Voorhees I'm sure loses it's charm after one or two games.

Also there are lots of different killers, maps, and survivors, so you aren't playing the same map over and over for 20 years.

Not to mention, its designed so that you cant outright kill someone if you catch them. You have to down them then hook them, then they have a time-frame on the hook where they can be saved. But the killer can just stand right next to the hook if he wants, until you die, negating half of the games mechanics.

A couple of friends and I used to play it seriously, and we were the highest rank for like 4 seasons in a row, or whatever seasons are called in the game. We all gave it up and just started playing it recently for the memes until F13 coems out

The DbD killers actually have to chase you. You can hide, and it works. You can juke and lose them, and it works. The 1st person/3rd person asymmetrical cameras are a brilliant design choice, and when survivors are hooked, players have to make the choice to try and escape themselves and keep repairing or hiding, or go and try to bravely rescue their friends. It's engaging and fun.

F13 is a drawer-search simulator with a hacker, teleporting killer that's always the same.

Watching streams and seeing the familiar movements from Jason and hearing the music, and the way the counselors stumble when they're afraid or out of stamina .. there's a lot of authenticity to the game's atmosphere for sure. Like it really nails it.

I love when watching streamers and they are so truly afraid that they make sloppy choices or hit the wrong buttons in crucial moments out of panicking. I've seen people close windows instead of jumping through them (only to be caught and killed), I've seen people accidentally call up the steam overlay, I've seen people set off flare guns or firecrackers while trying to hide, and all while yelling "no no nonononono!".. like genuine panic from playing the game. that appeals to me, where most survival "horror" games don't really scare you, aside from little jump scares that once you learn where they are they stop being scary.

Actually right now DbD is in a better state than it's been in for a good while. Survivors were kind of OP in that they would all pallet-loop and troll the killer, but with Bloodlust and some other tweaks, they've managed to balance the game well again.

I actually agree with you, I just like pissing off the F13 fags because, while I think it is a decent game, it ain't worth no FORTY fucking dollars (not by a long fucking shot,) it's just relying on license and hype, and I honestly think people will STILL be playing DbD in 6 months when F13 has gotten stale as fuck.

QTE's in the meaning that there is a bar and you have to hit a timing event, yes. But it's a skill-based check that, if you fuck it up, alerts the killer to where you are. It's really pretty fun because sometimes you don't want to even repair, and other times you want to repair and fuck up on purpose to lure the killer away from a hooked victim, etc... There's more to it and it's a well-done mechanic. It is similar to F13's car shit and other stuff, but once you fuck one of those up, Jason just teleports on top of you and ass rapes everyone immediately.

Jason's wallhacks detecting you depends on your composure. When you're spooped you pick up super easy, but characters that have higher composure and aren't scared don't pick up as much/at all. On top of that some characters have actual stealth perks. In DBD you're in that little box, stealthing and making sure you don't get caught, or leading the kiler on pallet loop mania.
