It's a legitimately good game made with the intentions to please fans of the genre and Friday the 13th, plays pretty well and is decently balanced aside from some stuff I saw in the closed beta like Jason being able to spam grabs like Kenshiro and Tommy not being a game changer at all when he appeared. They did some good balancing before it was over, and it has decent replayability, but I imagine they'll definitely have to expand the map choices since certain Jason incarnations only work for a specific tactic if the counselors decide to do a specific tactic. (e.g., I think it was Pt. 2 Jason, who is really fast as fuck in the water but otherwise pretty slow. Useful for getting people going near water or the island but that would mean they went there in the first place.)

You're probably going to hate it if that's the chase. There was major cheese on the beta and I doubt they'll be able to fix everything. If you like at least the core game play of DbD I think you'll love this game. Overall it's less janky and buggy than DbD, but the pacing is a lot slower and the stealth aspects aren't as fun.

I really hope it won't become dead on arrival, but the price will surely scare many people away.

I've seen the gameplay and It looks fun but the game feels more of a $20 game. I don't know if a single player mode exists but regardless, the game itself is praising itself too much with its price when the game itself is more of a "Multiplayer is the way to go" type of game.

Id say its a major part of the fun since you can talk to jason for bants and shit talking and when you play as jason say shit to the survivors. As a survivor you will have zero communication and either repeatedly fuck up the others or accomplish nothing, I played the beta and my mic was broken for like 2 days and once my new one arrived it was just a lot more fun and you were able to coordinate. Playing with friends I would say its a must have to use game chat and mic and solo play you just are the asshole nig that runs to slower characters getting them murdered. Games just a lot more fun with mics since you have the chance of Jason over hearing your conversation and you can actually work in a group, plus shit talking your friends as they walk right past you is great.
