What's confusing to me is, where is the point where you're overwhelming to your opponent? Comparing power levels I mean. It seems later in the show, they just get a power up that boosts them up to levels where now they can't be hurt. Is a 24,000 always going to beat a 20,000?

Thinking about this list makes power levels seem really... I don't know the term, skewed I guess? I mean Raditz had 1500 and easily fought off Goku and Piccolo together (~600 point difference) but going further down the line you've got 100% Frieza not getting entirely shitstomped by SSJ Goku despite a 30,000,000 point difference in their power levels.

Think of in relative terms rather than the actual numerical difference.

2,500,000 vs 2,400,000 is a pretty even fight despite the fact there is a 100,000 point difference becasue the ratio is only 1.04 : 1

Compare that to 1500 vs 910 which is only a 590 point difference but a 1.65:1 ratio.

It seems if you're 1.5+ times more powerful than your opponent you're overwhelming.

Which is a shame. Going by that list Goku and King Piccolo were at the same power, but the fight showed how Goku fought better and was unpredictable, but K.Piccolo had such a destructive arsenal and was a sneaky bastard that changed that fight's edge a bunch of times. What Budokai? If you never played the Tenkaichi series play 2 for the story mode and what-ifs and 3 for that roster and sightly better gameplay.

X2 can be fun for while with all that chaos going on and fast play with all those characters on screen, but that's it. Gameplay is pretty limited, is more about customization

If you like action platformers play Dragon Ball Advance Adventure. It also has battle modes for bosses and tournaments. The story is until King Piccolo but is a pretty good game overall, with a bunch of playable characters in extram mode(like Tenshinhan, Yamcha, General Blue, Tao Pai Pai and fucking wolves).

For the most recent years Toei was just bad doing fillers and pacing their series. One Piece suffered that right after the G-8 filers. Since Zou they are getting it better, same as Super's episodes since episode 78 or so.
Old Toei was pretty god tier when fillers, but more when Goku was travelling around as dumb kid. Z had pretty shitty fillers like Krillin going underwater with Gohan, or most of Namek fillers except for the fighting parts like Vegeta vs Reccome. Most fillers since Cell Saga were great, or the famous Goku and Piccolo driving ep

Sometimes is better to do some goofy shit like Bleach did most of the time. It works

That reminds me how Freeza was broken in some games, because each transformation he would get some health back.
But that shit happened in Budokai 3 too. Both Freeza and Cooler when transforming into mecha and meta forms would get full health at a certain point. That shit was broken, despite having to use all slots for that transformations.

Majin Vegeta was bad though, you only transformed as him in the last health bar, stayed with that health bar and wasted all slots for that. It was pointless

Tien's Ultimate was pretty much a game winner

I don't like how they're ignoring power levels and everything looks far less impressive. Goku and Freeza's battle on Namek tore the planet apart. Majin, Buu, Gotenks, Vegito were ripping through reality. Vegito vs. Fused Zamasu broke a few buildings. The feats are what makes DB so much fun to watch. It should be visually breath-taking. The movies did a good job, but Super has been shit.
