There hasn't been a 3D model of Samus yet that can actually fit inside the suit. The proportions of each are too different.
Prime 2, Prime 3, Other M, Brawl, Kerfuffle
None of them have a Samus that fits her suit.

Isn't the suit Chozo magic or some shit, it doesn't have to make sense.

None of the 2d ones fit either.

The Ice Climbers stole Samus's armor. That's why in Smash 4 the Ice Climbers are gone, because they are inside the suit.
