I wish there was a remake. It's so cute.
It was fun while it lasted
i used to play the shit out of this back in 1996, it was my first videogame
>>378007418
He probably just has autism
Like those people back when who would call any kind of joke, not matter how obvious, "trolling"
>>378008647
We had this game. It came along our first computer back in 95 or 96. I couldn't understand English back then, so I didn't really understand anything about it.
It did seem like a nice and comfy game though.

Is this Zombie Panic? I played this, beats Left 4 Dead any day of the week.
Back when a game only needed to have Dinosaurs in it to be 10/10 and endlessly replayable
>>378009661
It is Zombie Panic Source indeed,
some part of me LOVED the idea of barricading a room by pushing furniture around, making my little fort

this gem
I've literally never met anyone who know about this game and it was my early childhood favourite. It's pretty neat, I bought it online dirt cheap a few years ago and it surprisingly still holds up.
SIN, I remember it getting pretty fucked up towards the end.
>>378009824
Making barricades was tight shit and the ammo management system was way superior to L4D's. I know the Left 4 Dead was an entirely unrelated project picked up by Valve but I'll always be a little salty that it killed Zombie Panic, Zombie Panic even had the special infected as a server mod long before L4D. It was a rad game, you genuinely had to try to work as a team and there were actual penalties to fucking around as you could get infected yourself. It was a real deal zombie survival game and part of my early teen years, I'm a little miffed it's gone.
>>378009641
This game was so hyped in germany.
I tested it for the PC Action, a German computer game magazine.

This is now considered a rare game.
My dad sold it for 50p when he went through his Ebay phase. Some shady scalper probably bought it and jacked the price right up. When i told my dad his defense was "Well if it was worth more it would have been bid bringing the price up." Needless to say i was not happy.

There was something off about the mouselook but i got used to it after like 5 minutes
>>378010423
Who the fuck even bothers selling something for 50p? That is genuinely not even worth the effort to get up and take it to the post office. For that price I'd rather just give it to some kid for free as a gift.
>>378010523
Yeah it's even less then the postage costing to send it.
>>378009847
The dinosaur jungle was the best part of the game but then it turns into an Planet of the Apes story and in the end you're fighting snakepeople with a magical sword.
The ending dialogue with the King was kinda funny, he lets you choose between marrying the princess or getting back to your world. If you choose to go back he'll just tell you he doesn't know how to do that and you'll have to wait for the sequel.Which never came
Worth it just for the backgrounds though

You should check out Endless Sky, it's a reworked spiritual successor the series that's free and open source. You can get it on Steam. It's basically a improvement in every single way, you can even get your own fleet to dick around with.
My only gripe with it and Nova was that the writing left nothing to roleplay. It blatantly stated things like "you feel happy" or "you laugh at the joke" even if the reader didn't. It's a shitty form of writing that tries to force emotions onto the reader or in this case the player.

It was a PC RTS All the factions where just different factions of alien creatures. The most distinctive thing I can remember about it is that the game's logo was the starting unit which was responsible for building and managing your hive of aliens. It was telepathic, it floats around everywhere and it looks EXACTLY like kakuna from pokemon (pic related). I think it was released in the late 90s or early 2000s. I'm pretty sure it came with the PC I had back then.

Oh fuck, Master Sword. Yeah, I was super hyped about that game during development and when I finally got to play it, I had never felt so let down. I guess my expectations were too high for a mod for HL.
>>378008924
Why does a dinosaur need jet fuel?
It was flavor of the week on /v/, I think the game would have went on to gain a larger following if it was better optimize and had a english translation.
>>378014578
Thank you for reminding me of this game, I probably spent hours playing the ball games when I was 12.
>>378016316
WHERE ARE YOU MARSHALL
>>378023430
To melt the steel beams.
>>378023178
desu I've never seen anything but G Gundam and that was after I beat Zeonic Front years ago.
And I know what you mean about not using the squad system. You just had to be super fast and know where the enemies were and you could cheese the whole thing. Though the last mission with the space shuttle and the night mission and the Trojan Horse intel mission are all really hard to cheese. so you might have just gotten lucky. Honestly I did the same thing. The Simulation missions are a fucking blast though, especially the Lone Wolf ones.
the game itself is an awesome concept and has a fuck ton of mechanics, but can unfortunatly be brute forced with DOM units and RAKETEN Bazookas.
I think knowing the story and the characters would be right up a Gundum nerd's alley though.
>>378010050

This game was fun.

Been meaning to watch G Gundam myself. Seems to be the go-to for those new to the series these days. Feel like I'm probably missing something by not starting with a more 'serious' entry like the original but hey, G Gundam looks fun. Did you watch the dub or sub?

Its fine to start with G Gundam, just keep in mind that you aren't going to get the same kind of fun out of other Gundam series like you'll get out of G Gundam.
Not sure why reviews were so savagely negative about this game when it came out. The environments were kind of bland but I really liked the combat system.

>>378025621
I'd say its more of its own thing on the account that the game relies on 1 of 3 factions winning the war and defeating the evil wizard. Your job is to just fulfill contracts for the said three lords or play them off each other for bigger rewards and more destruction for the land. Not to mention that in order to get the secret ending whereZajisurvives and you rebuild the Asuka clan with your ninja bro and gf.
>>378025924
So very very young.

I loved this game. Sure, it wasn't good as Half-Life or Unreal, but it was a pretty nice game. It was great in co-op. I only wish the monsters would've had been more diverse like in Half-Life. I can't remember any of the creatures from Codename: Outbreak, so they were probably pretty unimaginative designs.
I loved the feature of having that live feed screen on the corner of the other coop players view.

Its a game that I have been holding out hope on some kind of HD re-release or maybe just a complete revival of the IP. I know there was a sequel released on the PSP but who even plays that shit these days? Also go full alchemist because it can break the game to the point where you can one shot the last boss with a 900+ home made explosive. I cheesed the entire game several times over when I found out that I could convert my mushies into improvised explosives.

>dat sonic boom
>most of the community seems to be Russian.
It's both a Russian game and the English localization is terrible. Marginally less terrible with HD, but still missing half the text adventures because "untranslatable cultural differences" and most of the humor because they hired some hacks for the job.
Such a cool game. One of the best/only good game from ubisoft.
>>378027371
Yeah, cause it was made a russian dev team. It's so rare to see anything decent coming out from our country that every good game gets a cult following.
I have no idea how this game got into every single PC in the computer lab.

MoO4 was made by some Argentinian studio, only published by Wargaming. It's not bad right now after a year's worth of fixes, but it still feels like babby's 4X compared to Stellaris and whatnot. At least it has tactical combat.

Russians make some great obscure games. Sometimes they don't even bother to localize them. >>378035034
It didn't have the same sense of wonder that the first Prime did for me, and the world wasn't too interesting, but the gameplay was still solid.
>>378035034
that's weird considering it has a lot more structural, progression and npc design variety, as well as focus on lore.
compare it to the first game where in phazon mines they make you fight elite pirates over and over and the boss of the area is an elite pirate with a bigger health bar.
that said I still like the first one more because the artifact hunt can be done as you play along and not near the end of the game like prime 2 does and that's a huge stopper.
