Honestly? Fear of buying something and realizing that for 10 more bucks I could get double the power (or if I had waited 10 days I could get the same rig for 200 less dollars because devaluation).

Ignore ranks and lp, focus on having fun and learning new shit and overcoming personal barriers. The LPs will come naturally.
It's okay to get salty, we're only human but the moment you fret about lp and rank, you stay there.

I was a super bronze shitter who sometimes broke into 1500+ only to then fall down to bronze. The moment I stopped fretting over my LP losses and focused more on learning and having fun things went a lot smoother. I still lose a shit ton but I don't let that dent me as much anymore. Last time I checked, I'm still a silver shitter, but I'm happy that I'm dropping combos less and less while teching more. It's the small victories that are also important.

I failed my classes for the year. Highly considering killing myself.

On a roll so far, finished up everything that I came out earlier in the year that I wanted to play, and finished a few older titles I have been meaning to get around to for awhile (System Shock 2, Half Life 1 and Expansions, etc).

Working on Mass Effect Andromeda right now, and I am nearly done with that. After that, I have no goddamn idea what I am going to play next. I bought tales of berseria and have not started that yet, but I am not sure if I want to start another JRPG so soon. I also want to beat Yakuza 2 so I can continue on with the other Yakuza games, but the emulation for it has been kinda garbage.

Haven't been playing much vidya lately, due to me having to get all my coursework done quickly, as I put everything off until the last minute.

Now that I have finished my college course, I have no idea what to do with myself. I was a NEET for two years before I started the course I'm on now, so I hope I don't end up going back to that.

I just had a glance at it and noticed one of its two fans isn't running. It can still output stuff but Windows won't load, and in the BIOS screen there's some weird stuff like pixels being the wrong colour. Being a third-worlder my aim is to build something around the 1050ti with an i3, that said I recently got a sustancial rise so now I'm considering a 1070. Also I have a hard time spending money unless I have an "I need this" feeling and so far I haven't had the feeling with any build so being patient won't hurt.

However I also believe that I'm close to having enough knowledge to make a conscious buy even if I don't get the "I need this" feeling. Also most cases look like absolute shit and considering that I'm gonna be looking at that box for years to come I wanna take it really slowly and take a deep breath before buying it.

I might never actually find out what I'm missing if I buy an 1060 instead of a 1070 or I might be overspending in a meme by buying a 1080 but I can get over both of those, however walking into my room and looking at an ugly piece of metal for years to come? That's the stuff nightmares are made of.

I don't give a fuck about 4k and to be honest 144Hz monitors are expensive as fuck right now and while the VR technology seems interesting I've yet to see anything interesting done with it.

The jump from the 1050 to the 1060 is such that if I was going to get a 1060 I'd rather just get the 1070 just because I can even if it's overkill and with the speed technology devaluates nowadays I might end up getting a 144hz monitor sooner than expected anyway. Finally I'm sticking with intel/nvidia because I live in a warm zone and I don't want my PC to melt.

I think this is the main reason why /v/ is getting boring to me. I only got here in early 2011, but even compared to back then, there's no OC or
culture (Stuff like Ace of Spades threads and Deus Ex Human Revolution hype). It's all just Youtube comment-tier bickering now.

I have this thing where a lot of my time spent gaming is at FGC events, but I don't get along well since I'm kinda spergy.

It's been bothering me lately that I don't get invited to events in my area, and I'm pretty sure one of the top players in the area hates me.
