What's your favorite questline from the Witcher series?
>>
the detective one in TW1
>>
The one where you talk to roach. I found it funny.
>>
just realized not a single one in 2 or 3 were memorable to me or enjoyable. Any quest involving those funny stone trolls I guess.

This one. Also, you're not gonna get any positive replies here, /v/ is for shitting on games and nostalgiafagging over the first game in the series out of pure contrarianism
>>
>>377995707
>pure contrarianism

or you just have casual tastes. TW3 was a ubisoft game in everything but name, was even easier than skyrim, and for an RPG, had the same level or roleplaying as FO4.
>>
>>377995862
You have to be over 18 to post here
>>
>>377995216
Wow i might just pick this game up if you can fuck Ciri
>>
>>377995458
I actually finished the game before I found that quest. Had to reload just to go back and do it.
I liked the big penultimate new world quests of the main storylines.
>>
>>377995980
you're talking about a brainless hack and slash game for the AAA cinematic experience console audience. These kinds of games (like FO4 and Skyrim) are literally made so that 10 year olds and casuals can understand them.
>>
>>377995216
The Uninstall Wizard|s adventure questline after I've hit the swamp in W1.

This one is more about dodging.
You can parry attacks, but you have to parry in a very specific moment to break the enemy's attack, like MGR.
Or you can just dodge to the side and attack him.

The most memorable quests for me are definitely the entire HoS main quest, the Bloody Baron, and the main one from Skellige because I loved that part of the world.

Honestly I wish the game had better gameplay, controlling Geralt or Roach can be such a fucking mess. I can't even count how many times I fell forward down some stairs cos I was simply running down them, feels like the fucker has butter under his feet at all times.
>>

I will never understand what people liked about the first game. Everything about it was either mediocre or downright awful. I feel like it was the first game people ever played where choices sort of mattered, except they really didn't in the end. The second game and even third game, were much better in that regard.
>>

No it wasn't. Mark Addy was a cunt who ended up being a faggot, his daughter got shafted narrative-wise to the point where the most interesting thing about her was that they reused her model for a whore in the tournament brothel and people briefly theorized that it was actually her.

His ending is completely arbitrary, just like every "choice" in TW3, and if you accidentally get the Good Ending(?) for him prepare for rushed bullet made by an intern because nobody expected you to get it. Not to mention Geralt's motives for helping him are stupid because they relate to Ciri and the main plot (although you don't technically know it's stupid and incoherent at the time you would theoretically do the Bloody Baron).

Oh and THAT'S the best the vanilla game has to off, but I'm supposed to let CDPR have more money because supposedly they stepped up the writing game for the DLC, conveniently.

Have some fucking standards you goddamn Caucasian, heterosexual intellect. Game was shit in story AND gameplay. Unforgivable.

The atmosphere is the best? If the atmosphere is supposed to be a dirty shithole filled with shit people, then I guess, but there isn't anything special about it. Plenty of games do it better. And the music isn't anything better than average in any of the games.

And neither of those things are worth shit for a game either. They enhance a good game. They don't suddenly make a game that is otherwise shit into something really good.

Either side got totally swept to the side in TW3 with Nilfgaard's full scale invasion anyway. Not sure if either of them ever even get mentioned.
Or maybe I just don't remember, I only played TW3 once on release and will most probably never go back again simply because of how fuckhugelong it is.

>>
>>378004067
Fun fact, you can't lose to Foltest in TW1.
The game cheats in your favor as a reward for beating all other opponents.
>>
I liked the Witcher contract quests the most and found that they were the most immersive since, after all, that's Geralt's job. My favorites were probably the Novigrad doppler, Novigrad succubus and the Skellige ancient leshen.
>>
>>378004201
And here I thought I was just lucky as fuck when I landed the 4-in-a-row against him.
>>
>>378004248
If there's one thing which was much worse in TW1 than in others it was contract quests.
It literally was "bring 10 barghest skulls" and variations of thereof. That's not counting unique monsters, but those weren't technically contracts.

Wasn't there some fairytale about a girl selling flowers or matches or some shit?
>>
>>378006053
>>378006179
Yeah, it's a story about a little girl that sells matches to support her family. It's Christmas eve and she's in the snowy streets trying to sell matches while she looks into windows and sees happy families eating Christmas dinner.
She lights the matches one by one to keep warm and each time she does, she sees something wonderful. In the end, she lights all her remaining matches where she sees her dead grandmother who hugs and comforts her.

The story ends with her corpse being found Christmas morning, her burnt matches strewn around her and her with a smile on her face, frozen to death.

Most women aren't that complicated, they just appear to be because you can't trust a single word out of their mouths. They are instinctual and Machiavellian when it comes to sex and love, real pragmatic and self serving.

Men are most of the true hopeless romantics contrary to what is perceived, and get burned for it, which often makes them even more confused about women and love.

Are Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine the best DLCs in video game history?

>Blood & Wine
No

I agree with both of you.

In all honesty I don't think anything ever comes close or ever will. Both with HoS and B&W.
Because it's ridiculously obvious that it's not cut content but created and expanded upon existing one.
Call me a rabid fanboy all you wish but I really want every and all DLC to be like that.

>feathers under his underwear but she doesn't care about that
>she doesn't care because during sex the feathers tickles her fancy and that sets her off

It's a "bad ending", he will eventually turn into a bird completely.

Probably not but I can't really find any counter examples off the top of my head.

>listen to women throughout the land gushing themselves over your hot dad
>hear triss or yen screaming his name whenever you eavesdrop at night
>take stealthy gazes at his sweaty enhanced witcher body when you two travel together
>you're not blood related

but it's perfectly normal for a young woman like Ciri to sexualize and have wet dreams about Geralt

Almost all children's stories were even more grim in the past than the versions we read as children.

He means women are easy to understand but men are too hungry for pussy to think straight.

Give examples, I don't think any of relevant ever changed over time.

He's too busy being a medieval version of a superhero. I actually wanted to kill him because it's too fucking dangerous but he convinced me he's not a complete capeshit.

I thought werewolves don't retain their memories when doing lycanthropic shit? But Vincent obviously does, same as that one hunter from TW3.
I want to say that it was different in books but I honestly don't remember already.
