the morality (or scriptwriting) in MKX is fucked. I mean, you've got Raiden telling everyone that Mileena is a choice as leader of Outworld, because she'd spend more time dealing with infighting than conquering. Plus, strictly speaking, the line of succession does rightly fall to her, which he also points out. Then, every time he sees her, he tells her point blank, 'fuck you, you're fucking worthless, we're throwing our lot behind Kotal Kahn'. I know, it's Raiden, the worst character in the entire fucking story, but everyone defers to him. If they'd allied themselves with her, a) we would've had a much more interesting story and b) Quan Chi probably wouldn't have died and they could've revived all the dead characters from MK9.

Combat mostly consists of tapping and swiping the screen to perform combos and build up energy for a few special moves and x-rays. Some moves and gear have bonus effects (poison, block breaking, increased health, etc.). You earn koins and souls that you use to buy and upgrade new characters. Like the other anon said, it's nothing exciting, but it's an okay time killer. You don't need to play it to unlock the bonus costumes for the console version anymore, though, since the console version got a patch that automatically unlocked them.
