I fixed mine by putting it in the microwave for like 20 seconds with a piece of aluminum foil. It's long enough to pop the plastic back into shape, and the aluminum foil will prevent damage to the internal circuitry.

toothpick is too large. maybe a really sharp pin? even then you risk just lodging it in further.

taking controllers apart these days is a huge pain in the ass in so much as they are difficult to get back together.

Probably a shitty idea, but I always just use the tip of my knife to clean my controller.

Slam it against a controller you don't want to keep. This will transfer the dent onto the unwanted controller, so your good one stays whole.

You can also rub scratches onto a junk controller in the same way. Just give it a try: scratch up your good controller, then rub it off onto the shitty one.
