in the 90's there was that whole belief that "western kids wouldn't like anime art" (despite being at the top of the DBZ popularity in europe) so they hired western people to do "redraw" with more or less success, but always some weird uncanny result

The sequel was actually going to have a release overseas, and the boxart was like the original (it was going to be called super hard battle), but it got cancelled because the guys behind the publishment of the game went bankrupt.
It's a shame because it's a good fighting game in comparison to the other 2.
