I'm playing a Templar. You get life from strength nodes and I moved towards the witch's side of the passive skill tree to get my minion nodes.

There aren't many strength nodes over there. My only option to get more life is to waste passive skill points going towards an area on the skill tree that doesn't do anything for me.

upgrading from 4link to 5link or 6link only increases your damage, and thus your clearspeed - it wont do anything for you if you are dying to things.

I think the big problem with poeple like OP is that they jump in the game, read some build guide while understanding nothing and just try to copy it without realizing that the build might not be suitable for new players, might have budget options that the new player cant understand, and various other factory.
