I loved The Witcher 1 & 2, and Witcher 3 has amazing elements, but ultimately it's crap. One of the main reasons for this is the introduction of Ciri and Yennefer.

I know they were in the books, but fuck that. The Witcher 3 is a GAME, and in the past 2 games, we never see Ciri or Yen, and instead we've got Triss by our side. The games themselves give us reasons to love Triss, and she's great. Then Witcher 3 starts and it just expects the player to just love Yennefer and Ciri, no questions asked? Not only that, but it expects us to love Yennefer, even though she's a bitch, and it also expects us to NTR Triss? Really?

Shitty writing. If this was always their idea, they should've set it up better in 1 & 2.
