I fell in love with Act 2 first, on my first listen I didn't even really enjoy Act 1, but the more I've listened to each of them the more I feel Act 1 is actually better. Act 1 grows on you the more you listen, whereas a few cracks start showing up in Act 2.

Act 1 is better but since it's a contrarian album (literally made to oppose what they were told to do in college), it's a harder listen the first time through.

Act 2 is well produced, and is mostly its own story as it takes place before the games, there is no megaman or protoman. Its much more influenced by Streets of Fire and 1984 than megaman.
Act 1 I cant personally defend. A few songs are OK but it doesn't sound very good to me. Act 2 is a good album.
